About the Art Show
The Cuchara Hermosa Art Show began in 1965 as a flower and art show. It was started by Margaret Bradley, a Cuchara summer resident from Wichita Kansas and supporter of the arts in her home town. The first director of the Art show was Bill Williams. As he tells it, his mother was a member of Hermosa and since Bill was an Art Professor in California and coming for a visit, she offered up his services! There have been five directors of the Art Show beginning with Bill Williams, followed by Marge Bradley, Mary Britton, Margaret Corbin and from 1980-2011, Marnee Corbin Camp. The Art Show has grown over the years from a flower/art show into a show of painters of all mediums, potters, jewelers, metal workers, fiber artists, photographers, and more.
